The Baka Monitoring Network (BMN)
The Baka Monitoring Network (BMN) is an innovative, bottom-up initiative dedicated to biocultural conservation alongside indigenous Baka communities of the Dja Biosphere Reserve, Cameroon. Through centring the self-determination of communities in research, education, and environmental stewardship, the network serves to support and strengthen Baka ecological and cultural knowledge grounded in their own ways of knowing.
Community-Based Biosynergy Management (CBBM) enables Indigenous and local communities to build evidence-based mechanisms to sustain the biosynergy of humanity and nature in their native ecosystems.
